What About Them Yankees

The Yankees take game 3 of 4 aganist the Royals by thge score of 6-3. Jason Giambi follows through on his sixth inning, tie-breaking solo home run off Royals pitcher Zack Greinke. Giese relieved Chamberlain and pitched 2 2/3 hitless innings to earn his first major league win. Jose Veras worked the eighth and Mariano Rivera pitched a perfect ninth for his 16th save. Jason Giambi hit a tiebreaking homer in the sixth and Bobby Abreu finished with an upper-deck home run and three RBIs for the Yankees. Johnny Damon got two more hits after going 6-for-6 with the game winning single in Yankee's victory saturday. Chamberlain allowed three runs, two earned, and five hits in 4 1/3 innings, striking out five and walking one. He could be extended to around 90 pitches for his next scheduled outing Friday at Houston.

The Streak Is Over


The Yankees break the 3 game losing streak tonight with the win over the Blue Jays 5-1. Catcher Jorge Posada is back from the disabled list but is not in the starting lineup yet, backup catcher Jose Molina gave the Yankees an unexpected boost on offense. Wilson Betemit homered off Jesse Litsch. Derek Jeter passed Mickey Mantle on the Yankees all time list. Mussina pitched six innings to match Los Angeles Angels left-hander Joe Saunders for the league lead in victories. Jeter's single in the third inning put the Yankees ahead and gave him 2,416 hits, good for third place on the franchise list behind Babe Ruth (2,518) and Lou Gehrig (2,721). Marino River ended the ga,e with two K's looking nad a ground out to save the ga,e for Mussina.

The Finals


The anticipated start of the finals are finally here. The L.A. akers are facing the Boston Celtics in the first game facing each other since 1966. The Celtcis starting lineup for tomorrows game ! in Boston is Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett , and Perkins. The starting lineup for the Lakers is Derek Fisher, Kobe Bryant, Radmanovic, Lamar Odom, and Pau Gasol. The Celtics will take game 1 at Boston and also hopefully take it all the way. In the regular season, Boston and L.A. have faced each other and Boston has won both game's. The fisrt game was on December 10 and Boston won 107-97. Game 2 Boston also took that game with a scorce 110-91. Who will the the finals? Only time would tell!!!!!

First Start Gone Bad


Joba Chamberlain lasted two and 0ne third innings Tuesday night in his first MLB start. Chamberlain threw 62 pitches and did not get the win or the lost. Joba Chamberlain threw 38 pitches in the first inning of his first MLB start. The Yankees lost the game 9-3 after the Yankees fell apart in the top of the 7th inning. The winning pitcher for the Blue Jays Roy Halladay, threw for 6 innings with 6 hits and 3 K's. Derek Jeter went 2 for 5 tying Mickey Mantle for third place on the Yankees all-time hit list with 2,415 hits. The Blue Jays had 12 hits withs npo errors. The Yankees had 9 hits with 1 error. The Yankees trying to come back with a win tonight with Mussina on the mound at 7pm. Hopefully the Yankees could take a win tonight.
